There is so much I want to blog about....but I honestly can't find the time! This week was filled with b-day parites and Christmas concerts, baking and cleaning. UGH!

My 26 days of Christmas album is really behind, but I have the pics....so hopefully next week when the kids are gone and wrapping is done...I will get caught up and be able to scrap and relax a bit. YEAH RIGHT

Christmas Tree Shopping

So we had one night this week that we could actualy get a tree....and leave it to us to pick the first big storm!  It was really fun to be out in the snow picking a tree, but driving in it...not so much fun.  Luckily today I got my winter tires on and new wipers.

So I have a confession....I have taken a picture for my 26 days of Christmas album ALMOST everyday.  However, I have yet to do a page.  This weekend I am going to try and get caught up and keep up with it.  I want to do this sooooo bad, but just can't find the time.  I have never been so late in my shopping and decorating, it's always been a rule of mine to be DONE by the 1st....I can only assume that my baking will be last minute too...another big no no

Hope your more ahead of the game than me.  Oh BTW, when am I going to wrap?   I have yet to find time before the 20th...I think the whole day will be wrapping!  UGH, gonna have to get some spiked egg nog for Rob and I.

December Daily

Here are a couple pages from my december Daily, more to follow!!!  I'm really excited about this, I hope I stick to it!!!

Hard to believe that December 1st will be here in 2 days!  But I have my December Daily pretty much ready to go.  I have left out the ribbons on the rings, and I don't like where I put the flower on the cover, so I'm going to change that for sure!

New Moon

We just got home from New Moon.....and I have one word....

AMAZING!!!!

It was so good, we all loved it.

Even Jasper made Rob laugh!!!  Yes we made him go too....he was one of 7 men in the threatre.

Empty Stocking Fund

Today was the Empty Stocking Fund

Here is my little man outside waiting to go in and sing his little heart out.

I have never dressed him up like this, he was so cute in a nerdy way!!!  LOL

As you can see he has a big scratch on his face, it actually looks like road rash.  He fell at his father's house yesterday, just before his television debut.  When we walked in he suddenly became really unsure about the situation, which is not like him AT ALL.  He is usually so outgoing.....and he wasn't even on stage yet.  But when the tears starting rolling, they gave him the school mascot to hold on stage.  As you can see, he really wasn't overly impressed.  He did sing and had a smile on his face once he found me in the audience.  That made me happy!!

After an unproductive evening at the scrap table.  I laid in bed watching Twilight in preparation for tomorrow.  You can't imagine how much I am looking forward to seeing New Moon. It's no secret that I was obsessed with the books, I read them all in no time.  

Rob was ready to burn them all by the time I was done.  

Twilight is finishing, and the ketchup chips I've been munching on are almost gone....

so I must be too.  Night all!!!!

I don't really know if you can call this a room....but I do.  It's actually a walk in closet.

Here is my little space, jam packed full of stuff.  The additional non-scrappy stuff that founds it's way in here over the past couple years was just to much.  It's much easier to work in now.

Here is what you see when you walk in the room, my desk.  The "create" is there to help give me mojo, but it is getting burried....another shelf is on the list.  

And here is the disaster zone, the far wall is all just shelves.  So handy.  I turned the bottom shelf into an extension of my desk and houses all the tools I use most.  The organization is still a work in progress.

The cricut and sewing machine are always close by, along with most of my papers.  I have organized these.  The cardstock is by color, and patterned paper is by manufacturer.

The other day I sent Rob out for groceries and he came home with this for me!!!  I love surprises, I can't wait to really start playing with it. Thanks babe

Well there you have it, my scrappy space.  It's not fancy, but it kinda works for me.

52 Challenges

Well I'm a little excited!  Today I got an email from Elizabeth Kartchner.  She wants "ME" to have a personalized copy of her new book.  Imagine that!!! 

Ok, maybe it didn't really go that way.....but that's the way I'm going to tell it!!!!

She posted on her blog that if you wanted to buy a copy, just email her.  And I get to get one!!!!  I'm so excited.....I got email from someone famous!!!!!  And since most of you know how forward I am.....I sent her an invite to my blog.  

It's lame I know to be so excited, but hey.....someone famous emailed me today!!!!!

Maybe she'll check out the blog and become a follower.

Here's the Journal

Ok, so staying up until 2:30am was not such a great idea....

Hunter had me up at 7am....now I'm so over tired, I can't get to sleep tonight.  My mind is just racing on things that I need to get done!!!  UGH, you can tell the holiday season is here.

Here is my journal for 26 days of Christmas.  It's just the bones right now, the embellies will be added as the month goes on.  I'll share the inner pages soon, and keep you posted as I fill them out to document our holiday season!!!  I'm really happy with this, it is very much out of my comfort zone for scrapbooking.  I'll be documenting something every day and adding it to the album through out the month.  I'm really excited about this!!  I'm going to get the kids involved also....should make it lots of fun!!!

Since this was so much out of my comfort zone, I had to make it a little more me.  I decided to make all the dates for each of the pages the same to give some more consistency through out.   

So tonight we went to the Santa Claus parade.  Get this....it began at 6pm (start of the parade route), we were about mid way through the parade route....and at 6:50 we were heading back to the car.  It was about 30 minutes long (IF THAT), and there may have been 30 entries (and I'm being generous).  I was so disappointed with the parade.  It took us longer to get through the traffic than to actually watch the entire parade.   They didn't even hand out candy canes like they always do every year.  Even the kids commented on the length.  It was the warmest weather I ever remember for the parade, and the shortest parade.

26 Days of Christmas

No it's not a typo....we are having 26 days of Christmas this year. Rob's daughters are with their mom, so we are going to be sending Santa a letter asking for Christmas at our house to be postponed until the 26th.

So tonight I decided to start my 26 days of Christmas journal from the Ali Edwards blog, which I stalk daily!!! I just love her blog, her work....she's FAB!!!!

Since it is 1:30 on Friday night (or early Saturday morning), I'm going to wait to upload my pics of the start of my album. My eyes are burning I am so tired, LOL!!!

On another note, I booked Christmas pictures for the kids....but I'm going out on a limb and going to attempt it for myself. I've been so disappointed with the pics from studios lately, I hoping this will work out. I've got the back drop all ready to go....now to get the kids ready. how do you keep 4 kids clean while trying to get them to all smile and look at the camera at the same time. Am I nuts? Not yet....I'm also going to try and get the dogs in for a shot once I get the kids pics done....ok, now I"m nuts!!!!

white, white, and more white

So here is my space all empty.....Can you imagine all that stuff was crammed in here.  Wait to see it once I put it back together.... It's not as Zen as I was hoping for.

Well the week is almost over, and I'm looking forward to lots of fun on the weekend.  Going to get some R & R (yeah right) with the kids!  And enjoy the Santa Claus parade.  Hope to get some scrapping in and finish up my scrap space so I can share!

Well it seemed like a good idea at the time.....

My scraproom, is actually a walk in closet. It houses mainly scrappy stuff, but it also has started to take on clutter that I wanted to hide. (Yes I am a pack rat, and I hate it!!!) So I decided to completely empty my Scrappy room and start over.

So here is all my scrappy stuff piled in the room.

Now I have everything neatly back in the room minus the non scrappy stuff. But I have hit a wall. My space is so neat it makes me want to scrap, so I'm not getting any purging or organizing done. LOL

I also have to share that when I was putting everything back in the room, I gave Rob the job of using the label maker.....Once he got a quick lesson, he was off making me labels and I yelled out what I needed. Thanks for the help!!!!

Now even his cell phone has a label! And yes it says "cell phone" LOL

I feel a little bad, this is the first year I did not attend the Remembrance Day Ceremonies.

Please take time today to reflect on those who have lost their lives fighting for ours.

Well I'm glad I did because it was perfect for a pic of Rob's middle daughter this summer in St. Andrews on our Whale Watching trip.

Busy night scrappin

I have to say, this is probably my favorite layout of Rob and I.

Mainly because it's my favorite picture of us, from our summer on our annual trip to Laconia. It's a complete scraplift from Liz Kartchner. The first time I went on her blog I saw the layout that I lifted this from and fell in love!!!

So tonight I actually did 2 layouts, which is a record for me. This one is of Rob's middle daughter, and I think it needs a little more than just bling on the top left corner....maybe I'll tackle that tomorrow. Originally I had another paper for it, but she came in and didn't like it, lol, so she picked this one.

This summer we went whale watching in St. Andrews and then for a picnic in the park by the dock. The girls were on the bridge and Rob snapped this pic.

I dabbled in a little glitter mist and used my Martha butterfly punch to mask when I glittered. (and my Martha border punch, I'm lovin' the punches!!!!)

Then I added some more butterflies and stitched the swirls.

The lace was a lime green, and just way to bright so I used some ink to darken it down.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll have another layout or two. I guess cleaning out my scrappin' room was a great way to get the scappy mojo going. The procrastination of cleaning is really getting my creative juices going!!! LOL I'm getting a little collection of giveaways too! But my Martha punches won't be going anywhere!!!

Scrappy Organizing

So I decided to clean out my scraproom....and forgot to take a before picture. Oops!!! But you should see the mound of stuff piled outside my scrappy space. I'm going to take pictures tonight, once the room is totally empty. Even DS commented on all the stuff this morning when he woke up. Rob was shocked at how much stuff is actually in this small closet.

Part of my cleaning process is going to be to purge. I'm going to give away as much as I can to try to simplify my scrapping space and process....Maybe then when I have a clean, organized and decluttered scrap space my mind too will be decluttered and I'll actually get some work done.

Wish me luck tonight....I'm gonna need it.

Halloween 2009

We had 2 Halloweens this year. Since Rob's oldest had to go in costume to her youth group, we dressed the other 3 up to go to my Grandparents house for a little trick or treat.

Left to Right: Rob's oldest as "Bella" from Twilight, the middle one as a "dead pirate" My DS as "Diego" and Rob's youngest as a vampire.

5 minutes before we were to go out on actual Halloween, DS got his costume dirty....so we had to dig out his police costume that he got from Grampy for Christmas last year.

He literally RAN from house to house....And I'm going to be sick from all the candy I stole from him....he's doing up the appearance notice as we speak!!!

The kids have stopped here, so I'm going to shut everything down and hit the hay!!!!

This weekend I went to the Let's Capture our Memories Crop. It was a great day (I only went on Saturday), with loads of laughs!!! What a great group of girls, and sooooo much talent.

I did one layout, and got a head start on another....which still needs journalling.... Go figure, I always struggle with the journalling. This layout is of me and my boys. The pics were taken back in 2007, and I'm ashamed to say one of the few pics I have of DS and I. I can't take all the credit, the girls at my table gave me a hand to make it just right.

snow? already???

Ok, so waking up to snow the other day was OUBER depressing! The kids are now wearing hats and mitts, and I've entered freezing mode. I will be cold now until...well I don't know when. If next summer is anything like last....I'll be cold forever. BLECK

Last night I sat down to scrap, and I just couldn't seem to wrap my head around anything. Each picture I looked at and each project I tried to tackle just wouldn't come together. So I gave up!

Now onto the the big WOW moment from last night.....if you haven't watched Grey's from last night you might not want to read on....But what was up with the latest victim to be put on the chopping block? I was shocked, it didn't really upset me as she is not my favorite character. The past couple years she has really become annoying.... And the big question running through my mind is, "who is going to be the next cardio doc?" Are any of the other wonderful characters who we have all come to love going to walk the plank?....I'm tempted to read the teasers online, but I'm trying not to.

Who would you love to see stay??? Or go???
I'm voting for nobody else from SG to leave....but would love a couple good additons to pop up and spark up the story line.

Mommy I'm going to be sick

So I got my little munchkin back today....it felt so good to hold him in my arms and give him hugs and kisses. We had a little excitement on the way home, DS told me he was going to be sick....why is it that kids never give you enough time to pull the car over???

It went EVERYWHERE! Projectile.

It was even way under the seat in front of him. So I had to take him out of his seat, strip him down and lay his jacket on his car seat and then cover him in mine.

Needless to say I am doing laundry tonight.

Once we got home and cleaned up, Hunter and I took my Nanny her birthday present.

Below is a layout I did for my nanny, who has been fighting Cancer for a year now.

Thankfully she has recently been told that she no longer needs to continue with the Chemo which was so hard on her, she is getting stronger everyday.

This picture was taken on Mother's Day last year (2008) along side my mother, this was just a couple months before nanny was diagnosed.

I love my nanny, she is a angel. What a kind woman.

So today I attempted to make her bread....it didn't go as well as the first time. The yeast wasn't rising very well, then once I made the bread it too was taking to long to rise again. Finally it was all risen, and I didn't have time to make it before I went to get DS. So by the time I got home....it was a mess. Oh well, I still made it and I'm sure the kids will eat it this week. LOL

Today I must have been feeling like Susie Homemaker, cause I also made a Cherry Pie (my favorite), Oatmeal choc chip muffins, and Stew with Dough boys. YUM!

We officially have enough food ready in the fridge for the whole week.

Should be an easy week.....at least as far as meal preparations goes.

So I've blabbered on long enough, time to settle in for some sleep. Back to school and work tomorrow!

The mystery has been revealed

This week over at Let's Capture Our Memories, Tina hosted a wonderful challenge. It was a mystery challenge and each day she revealed another piece to the layout. Come Friday....layout complete. Well, since I like to take on more than I can handle, I decided to do two layouts. One which is pretty bang on (winter)to her sketch and the other a little modified (summer).

I got a little creative with the "bundled up" layout, I made the brads into snowballs, and even made my own mittens. I am however thinking of adding some navy blue stitching around the patterned paper.

This layout was an attempt to add some techno mombo jumbo to it. Notice the heart on the right hand side. As some of you know, I love texting.....so it was fun to add.

This weekend was really quiet around here with no kids. And I have to admit now that Rob is back to work, I'm lonely. Luckily my dear friend Stephanie took pitty on me and we went to see the new Jennifer Anniston movie tonight!!!! yeah!!! It was a good movie. Not the kind of movie I would run out and buy, but I liked it.

Last night Rob and I saw "Couples Retreat", it was really funny (will definatly watch it again, but probably won't buy it.). Then we had plans to go to dinner after, but both of us were sick.... Neither of us have felt great the past few days. So we came home and we were both asleep by 10pm. Then today we lounge in bed all day! It was so awesome. We had nothing to do all day but just chill out.

under the weather

No wonder I'm feeling under the weather with weather like this!  

So how about some warm jammies and comfort food.  I could sure use some warm freshly made chocolate chip cookies right now....with a glass of really cold milk.

Today my little boy is going away for the weekend with his dad for 5 days.  I'm going to miss him so much.  You would think that I would take advantage of the break, but to be honest, I don't.  I just miss him so much that I tend to mope and accomplish NOTHING!  Not even scrappin.  But hopefully the Mystery sketch challenge that I'm playing will keep me going.

2 more days until the long weekend, I'm hoping for some sleep!  Wish me luck
