San Fran

I can't believe it was a year ago this month that we were in San Francisco. Oh how I want to go back....or to even travel anywheres.

This picture was taken at the top of Coit Tower....

we had to cram into this little tiny elevator, and then walk up more steps than I wanted. It wouldn't have been so bad, but we walked to Coit Tower, and if you have ever seen a picture of SF you know it is all uphill. I could feel the burn!!!

This is the 2nd LO I did for the LCOM cyber crop, and it was a Challenge by Jen to sew on a LO. I really like the stitching that I added, however my attempt to make a drink ring on my LO kinda failed, it just looks like a big circle. Oh well, I guess I know what it is suppose to be. lol

Today is going to be a fun filled day of scrappin' and I'm hoping to have a bunch more LO's to share with you this week.

Cyber Crop & a layout

Having lots of fun over at the LCOM cyber crop, if you haven't been over yet....go....go now! The challenges are so much fun, and they have just got my scrappy mojo going full stream!!

Here is the 1st challenge I did, and it was to copy cat Natalie's style.

Her work is just so unique, I adore it. You can always see paint on her LO's and the masking tape is just so much fun!

This pic is of R and I in NYC at the most famous bridge over by the boat house. I don't think there is a movie shot in NYC that doesn't include this bridge. So romantic.

Since it is just up from the "imagine" memorial I thought that their was other title than to quote a Beetles song.

Tomorrow is a ME day....which will consist of lots of scrappin'

The spring fling cyber crop has begun!

I think I need a milk shake

We went out to supper with my parents a while back, and my mom ordered a Milk shake....well you should have seen my DS's eyes when it came to the table. Needless to say, my mother didn't get her milk shake. But my little guy nailed it back pretty quick.

My favorite was when he took the straw out and licked it, who doesn't do that when they have a milk shake? Guess it's just one of those things that comes natural.

Anyone else craving a milk shake?

There is a place in the city market here that just makes the best milk shakes ever!

Maybe I'll have to take a walk down and get one.

AAAAAHHHHH NYC

It's no secret, I love New York City. And the sounds on the streets, is music to my ears.....I always thought it would be so loud and nerve racking....but when I stepped foot on the street and listened to the music of the people....I was in heaven.

We are going back for sure, and I just can't wait!

Over at LCOM we are doing 52 sketches....a sketch is posted every week. No pressure just work at your own pace, this is my LO from week 7! (and I have to brag it up a bit....I have done all 7 sketches so far this year! woot woot....I really want to do all 52!!! Only 45 to go

Here is the layout I did for the first sketch. It was for a 2 page LO with 7 pictures. A few years ago this would have be so easy for me....but since getting back into scrappin' my LO's now are only one page, with no more that 3 photos.

So I made a bunch of mini prints and this is what I came up with.

One day I was getting my DS ready for bed, and he looked up at me and said "Momma, you make my heart really super happy"....so being a scrapbooker, I jotted down what he said, dug out the camera and took these pics.

I don't ever want to forget him saying this....it was so amazing to hear him say this to me....totally made my heart melt.

Oh my, I just realized it is this weekend....

Dark & Twisty

No this is not a Grey's spoiler.....

Yesterday was a scrappy day, I had some scrappy friends over in the morning. Everyone accomplished more than me, (didn't even finish one layout) but we had some great chats and it got my scrappy mojo going for the rest of the day.

Once they all left, another scrappy friend stopped by just as I was starting the layout below. This is WAY out of my comfort zone, but she pushed me to keep going....so I modge podged and painted and sprayed and painted some more.....I even stamped a little too

Well this is what I came up with, and I started with a plain piece of white cardstock.

This was a lot of fun, and has given me the courage to keep trying.

The pic was taken last summer down at Laconia for bike week. No I don't ride, Rob just let me sit on it and took my pic.....I prefer to hang out on the back....must easier to relax, enjoy the sights, and chill. I like it that way. We have talked about the idea of me getting my license, but I just don't have it in me. I'm sure I would love it, cause I love being on his bike so much....but I'm just too afraid of being a "new rider"....I've guess I have just seen what can happen to many times. So for now....I'm riding with him.

Hope you enjoy this LO as much as I do. Like I said, it is WAY out of my comfort zone and like nothing I have ever done before.

Happy Hon Ton Day

When my sister was little she couldn't say Valentines Day, so she always pronounced it Hon Ton Day. So in our family this holiday is known as such.

So I'm sending out a

Here a special LO I did for Rob for Valentines Day.

The journalling reads:

"The day began with a walk through central park and the upper west side, then a wonderful dinner at Tavern on the green, followed by a carriage ride home through central park. Not only was the carriage ride rthe most romantic time of my life, but so was the whole day....and trip to NYC 2009"

And I actually used Stickles, yes me! I never know how to use them....but I added them to the prima flower for some bling!!!! Oh and notice the background paper....it's Chatterbox!!!!

it's been a while

since I have posted a layout, so here are a couple that I have had on the go.

The one below was inspired by Natalie over at LCOM for the So You Think You Can Dance contest....I love Natalie's work, but my LO looks nothing like her. Sure they are the same colour pallet, and have the same frame around the pic....but her work is just so different from mine. You should definately check out her work....she is also on the design team with me for this term! Can't wait to see what she has planned for inspiration!!!!

Note the little flowers on this page. Calia posted a tutorial for us on her blog, and WOW! I can't stop making them....Add a little glimmer mist, and man they just pop on the page.

I know I promised pics of NYC, but I just haven't gotten to it, and then forgot about it...oops. But I have started my mini album and will be sharing with you as I finish it up.

This is a Tim Holtz Grunge board book and I used paint and alcohol ink for the background on the pages. This is what has gotten me addicted to alcohol ink.....I can't wait to start making backgrounds with it for my pages.....daroooool
