Well I did week 2 of my photography class, and it was all about Aperture. Ok, I have to admit....I'm not really understanding it. But hopefully my homework will help with that.

Photography Class

I thought finding the time to take my photography class was hard, but finding the time to take the photos for homework....was even harder this week. So my pics aren't overly as glamorous and I had hoped, but I think I completed the lessons.....

Here's what I did

Panning.....

it took a couple tries, but I'm glad with how this turned out.

I think outdoors would work a lot better.

This next one is of Rob's youngest spinning.

We had to capture movement.

I love how her hair is flying in the air behind her.

Here is Rob's middle daughter jumping in the air.

What a trooper, she must have jumped 20 times before we finished.

Poor Ben didn't know what was going on.

He was pretty calm during it all since he went in for the big surgery today.

This is my favorite. My DS helped me with this one.

It is a sparkler, and I left the shutter open for 8 seconds to catch this shot.

I love how you can see the sparks bouncing.

This Thursday we learn Aperature....whatever that is. LOL

But I'm sure that I will have fun playing with my camera.

Like I'm not busy enough.....

Here is the latest crafty project I'm taking on. After getting a new camera from my lovely man for Christmas, I had to make it my own. The straps that come with the cameras are just so BLAH! So I wanted to add a bit of my own style to it....initially I was going to make a full strap, but I was afraid of it not being strong enough to hold the camera. So I made a cover for it.

So now I have 4 different colour combinations....the one I made for me is my favorite ;) I just love the paisley and polka dots!!!

I'm hoping to sell them. Fingers are crossed!!! So I hope people enjoy them. They will be available to people in the size of their choice, and if you have a color combination that you have your eye on....I'll do my best to make it up for you.

I'd love your feedback on what you think.

Hope you love them as much as I do. Now when I start my photography class tomorrow night I'll be able to tell which camera is mine!!!!

My Nan

On Thursday January 7th, 2010 my Nanny made her journey to God after a devastating fight with cancer. I will miss her everyday, and take the many thing that she has taught me along in my own journey.

When I came home from the hospital, after being with her when she passed, I took comfort in starting an album to keep her memory alive in my heart. My "Plan" is to do the album showcasing her wonderful recipes that I grew up both enjoying, and even more....enjoying her teaching me them. I hope to do each page with a recipe and a photo of her through the years. This one is from her when she was just a young girl, she was so beautiful.

I love you Nanny!

On another note, this is my first post and layout done in the New Year. How sad am I! Lately I just can't seem to find the time....or the creativity to scrap. Hopefully that will change in the New Year.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and enjoy the New Year with all the new adventures it will bring.
